Administrative Council Retreat Minutes

January 16, 2010

The Administrative Council of First United Methodist Church, Grand Prairie, held a retreat on Saturday, January 16, 2010. The meeting began at 9:00 AM in Wesley Hall with Dale Brown Jones presiding. Chuck Edwards, Transformational Church Chairperson, gave a presentation of the program to introduce the council to the process and the work ahead. Committee planning and calendaring was done. Reports were given by each committee as to the progress they had made during the retreat. Gifford Long, senior pastor, announced that there would be a meeting at St. Luke’s United Methodist in Dallas on January 31, 2010 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on changes that may be coming in the future. This is a good training session and it was suggested that all who could attend to please do so. Meeting adjourned at 1:15 PM with the group praying the Lord’s Prayer together.
