Hacky Sacks For Haiti is a ministry of First United Methodist Church of Grand Prairie inspired by two of our youth who happen to be sisters: Mandy McSwain and Karah Nicole Joye. We hope you purchase some hacky sacks because you will not only receive a hacky sack, but more important, you will give a hacky sack; plus, additional money to help Haiti. The cost is $5.00.The hacky sacks will go to Haitian youth whereas the additional money will go to UMCOR's Haiti relief efforts. UMCOR is the humanitarian relief and development agency of the United Methodist Church, a worldwide denomination. Compelled by Christ, UMCOR responds to natural or human made disasters—those interruptions of such magnitude that they overwhelm a community's ability to recover on its own. Also, UMCOR's administrative costs are covered by United Methodist Churches. ALL of your money will go directly toward the relief effort. If you want both hacky sacks to go to Haiti check the in store pick up box on the order form, or just tell a youth who is selling them. Go to www.fumcgp.org (church website) and buy hacky sacks!!! By purchasing a hacky sack you will receive one, give one to a Haitian youth, and donate money to UMCOR's Haiti relief efforts. Buy some and spread the word!!!
