Order Your Poinsettias

In keeping with a lovely tradition here at FUMC, the altar will be decorated in poinsettias on Sunday, December 23rd and Christmas Eve.

Poinsettias may be given in memory of a loved one; in celebration of a special event; in honor of a special person; in appreciation of someone; or other appropriate manner. Please plan to leave your poinsettia in the church until after the 6:00 Christmas Eve service.

If you wish to purchase a poinsettia, cost is $12; please turn in orders no later than noon, Monday, December 17th. Look for order forms in Sunday’s bulletin.

Give a "Living Gift"

Instead of buying that dust catcher your friend will probably never use, give a “Living Gift.”  Give a donation to the Mission Program of FUMC. Friends and loved ones will receive a lovely card of acknowledgement.  These monies will go to local and global mission needs.

(Minimum donation $10.00)

Donations need to be in Dec. 17th so they can be mailed for Christmas.

Please contact the church office for more information.

Coats for Kids - Kids INC

Grand Prairie's Kids INC (In Need of Clothing) is collecting coats for kindergarteners to high schoolers until Dec. 21. Please bring new coats with tags to the church foyers.

How to Dress for Church

Friends, it’s that time of year when we guess about the weather. We tried to turn the heat on for the sanctuary building, and the water refused to heat up.

So? Dress in layers. Be prepared for shifting temperatures in our buildings in case we guess wrong and/or the machinery doesn’t want to function.
